If you have experience mixing/spraying gelcoat it is not hard, just very labor intensive. Spraying is the easiest part, it is the prep to spray and the finish work that are very time consuming.
what would I haveto do to prep? I was quoted $2,000.00 for this and I thought this was way to expensive since it is just top cap where flake is (aproximately 4" by 20')
Not hard. Like others said, it is the prepping that makes a difference. Best to use clear gelcoat. Automotive clear will look good for a few years. Planning on keeping boat for a while ? then gelcoat, if not, automotive clear,,,..
