On a vent cover plate I have some screws that are popping out like they've been ripped out. If it were wood I'd put a toothpick in the hole with the screw. What do you do on fiberglass?![]()

Depending on the size of the hole, use a small wood dowl, or a golf tee works great. Cut it to fit, and use marine tex to epoxy it in. Let cure, and re-drill your hole. Good as new. Marine tex is your friend on stuff like that.

I have a few loose screws also. Can you just fill the hole with marine tex than retap? Will it be strong?

Once marine tex cures... its there, and strong as hell. You can sand it, drill it, ect ect
Plastic screw in anchors. They cost a little more but well worth it. Use a little liquid nail or similar on them before you screw them in and you're good to go. GL JimC
