New decals on Evinrude and recovered seats

Thanks Daryl w/ Iguana. I'm really happy with how they turned out!

Looks real good, Jason. Now if we just didn't have to deal with those butt ugly registration stickers we have to put on our engine cowls.

I know it! I don't mind having to pay to get it tagged yearly but they are terrible looking.

It wouldn't be so bad if they used some decent colors. I have the 2011 stickers on mine and they are green, looks real good on a blue boat.

Decals look great, did you get them from the manufacturer or another source?

They came from iguanagraphics. Great to work with! Darryl I got a warning from the highway patrol for the numbers on my boat (from when I bought it). I'll be contacting you to fix me up with some soon.

Re: New decals on Evinrude and recovered seats (Floyd)

I had a local shop make mine .. I designed them he printed them up for me cost was like 20 bucks for the decals I had made, he uses boat wrap material

I repainted the cowl and engine .. not another on the water like it LOL

    Re: (coops784)

I used automotive paint urethane base and clear and epoxy primer , cleaned the whole engine with degreaser and pressure washer, then wax and grease remover, then sanded the engine then prime, 2 coats base, and 4 coats clear.

As with any paint job the pre paint prep makes or breaks a paint job

    Re: (coops784)

I used BRP paint. I sanded most of the old paint off as it was peeling off. I primed it. Sanded it, cleaned it. Did multiple coats of paint, sanded, cleared it. Sanded and polished it.

Those look great. I have a 1983 Evinrude on a boat I'm restoring and can't find decals I like until I saw yours. Would you mind telling me where you found yours, they are very close to the design I'm looking for.

If your talking about mine with the flag, like I said in my post above I designed the sticker my self using photoshop then had it made at a sign shop about a block from my house.

Thanks for the hint, never thought of using a sign shop. Will give it a try.
