    transom bolt torque

I am removing the motor on my 373 to do some steering cable work, and need to know what torque to use when reinstalling the 150 yamaha.

Use anti seize on the nuts and as tight as they go IMO. I'm sure there is a "specified" torque but as long as they're tight as can be you should be good. Just avoid stripping or galling.

    When re-installing, use plenty of 3M's 5200.
As far as torque, there is no set number but I have used 60 ft/lbs on transoms containing wood and on composites as long as you also use a transom support plate to spread the load. This is what I mean by a transom support plate. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/...-11-0
