    finally finished my transom replacement!!!

I finally finished my transome replacement on my 370v using Seacast. What a relief...It took a couple of weeks just because of other things going on. A very doable repair just time consuming. I am very impressed with the product thus far. I will post some pictures later tonight of the process.

No pics of pouring the goo and finishing it all up? I'm not knocking you, it looks great. Just want to see the finished product.

I'm glad to see them 300 series being repaired and kept on the water. Sounds like it turned out great! Can't wait to see some pictures of the finished results. Might i ask what the cost was using seacast?
    Thanks, Garland

Re: finally finished my transom replacement!!! (javelin90)

two 5 gallon kits and fiberglass tape ran slightly less than $500 with shipping included. I had most tools that are needed. I had to purchase drill extensions (2 x $10), 30 inch chisel ($15), drill bit mixer ($12), a couple 2x4's (made a funnel that fit entire transom to help pour seacast) and a wood drill bit ($10). Not bad compared to the 4k quote I was given at a local shop...

Looks great and can`t wait to see the product Don`t think I`ve ever seen anyone use a chainsaw on their boat before but bet it worked great for getting the rotten wood loose and pulled out of the cavity
