    Ways to paint a trailer??

I am going to repaint my boat trailer but have no way of getting the boat off and leaving off for a period of time. I was wondering what is the best way to get it painted? I had thought about spraying but was worried about getting oversray on the boat, thought about brushing but then leaves brush strokes, my final option is a roller. What is your thought? Thanks.

using the hand crank jack, let the trailer all the way down to the ground-next cradle/or build up under the transom with wood as tight as you can. after this simply raise the trailer all the way up,cradle it,block it and release a little air from the tires and roll the trailer out from under the blocked up boat. paint trailer, replace bunks and roll it back in place- all with you hand crank.. good luck, brace and block as needed.

I used the same method as ranger372xt to get mine off then I used a method called roll and tip to paint mine.
Google roll and tip and you will find more info it is used on a lot of big boats that cant be sprayed. I used rustolem industrial paint on mine thinned a little and it has been two years now and it still looks great and I get lots of compliaments!

I repainted my trailer last year with the boat still on it. I did it in my garage. I laid a giant plastic tarp on the garage floor to catch the overspray and protect the floor. For the boat, I bought a big roll of painter's plastic sheeting. You get a ton of it for cheap. I wrapped the entire boat, bunks, anything I didn't want to get paint on. It only took an hour to wrap the whole thing. I'll try and post a pic of what it looked like when it was wrapped. It was much easier than trying to figure out how to remove the boat. BTW, I used DUPLO spray-on bedliner and it turned out great. Still looks great even after sitting outside all winter.
