Spark PLugs for 2000 225 Opti...

I have already read the threads stating that the NGK Izfr5g is the recommended plug for the Opti....but I am having a problem finding them in the PA area, and also the last time I replaced them, they were a little steep on the price....I found Iridium tipped plugs from AutoLite that is the direct replacement for the NGK and even had a higher heat rating, am I able to use these plugs?????

The retail price of the "Mercury Branded" plugs has come down recently (but I don't recall them EVER being that high).

DO NOT, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES use "other" plugs in this engine. Use the recommended IZFR5G (and I agree.... with the BBC discount, sparkplugs.com has a very attractive price).

Thanks Don for the response !! Like I eluded earlier, I was ripped off by a good friend the last time I ordered them...$186.00 + tax....I almost swallowed my tongue, but I thought that was the price, so needless to say, I will not do business with them anymore....

I already ordered the plugs from sparkplugs.com and once again, thanks for the help, its greatly appreciated !!!!
