    "Tell Tale"

This probably is nothing, but I never noticed it before on any of my previous engines...

After I shut the engine down after about a 5 minute idle/rev the tell tale kept pumping water with a litle bit of preasure for few seconds and slowed down to spurts and then dribbles.. I know the water in the engine will drain, but I was woundering about the amount of preasure it was comming out with when the engine was shut down?
    Just being curious..

    Thanks!!!!

Running on muffs or on the water?

I think if you're running on the muffs and have pressure from the hose the water will continue coming thru until the temperature sensor reads a cool temperature and the thermostat closes. But wait for Don to answer, for sure.

I've never tried running mine in a drum...so I'd like to see what Don thinks about it. But I would think it would be possible in a drum to creat a siphon effect like using a hose to siphon gas or fluid and it keeps coming. Maybe after turning it off it keeps coming from a siphoning effect until thermostats close. But as a note...I've noticed mine stop peeing when I killed her and turned off the hose and a few seconds maybe 10 to 20 later start again and drain from the motor.

Still interested in Don's thoughts on it.

When running in a drum or test tank, it may take a couple of moments for water pressure to completely "cease". Water from the block will then begin to drain... and you will see a stream (may vary from one engine start to another) from the telltale.
