    Camo Stencils

I am getting ready to repaint a recently purchased 1972 jon in "Olive Drab". I've painted several aluminum boats so that part is pretty easy.

I'm looking for some ideas on a camo pattern to put on it. I don't really want to spend anymore money on this project so I'm looking for some easy ideas. My last jon boat had a really cool pattern in which the guy dabbed a feather duster in some black paint and splotched it on.

Any ideas? If not, I may stick with the feather duster trick.

    Thanks all!

In Iraq, I used a tree branch with a bunch of leaves on it. Spray the base layer on, then just lay the branch over it. Spray away with the next coat, moving the branch to each new location. Worked like a charm.

Make sure the first coat is dry too!

Lake of the Ozarks has some of the best bass fishing in the state.

Ft. Leonard Wood is a couple of hours from me but I fish Lake O as much as I can. Truman is another great lake.

Let me know when you get out and I can get you some good fishing info. If I'm in the area you can grab a back set!

go to the plastic plant section of the art/ craft store or buy some at garage sales
get a couple pieces of different plants and grasses. hold um up and spray um in different colors start dark and go to the lighter color. practice on card board and see what looks the best. ive done bows guns quads and boats. it looks great and its fast and cheap. used the krylon flat color camo paint. blk drk brn light brn and grn
