I'm recarpeting my Stratos 273....when I pulled up the carpeting in the cockpit area there was some type of leveling material that was used to smooth out the floor. The material had broken up in some areas and came out with the capeting.
I would like to smooth out the floor before I recarpet but I'm not sure what I can use. Was thinking of using something like Bondo. Just don't know if that's my best choice. Any suggestions?

I'm sure Bondo would work but how about that stuff that has all the fiber in it? Cat's hair or somethng like that? Let me see if I can find the name of it.
Ok I found it...Tigers Hair by Evercoat. I would think that would hold up?? Just mix it up, slap it down and when it dries just sand it with something like 80 grit and you are good to go!!

Joe...picked up some stuff called Claw Glass filler. Really works well, smooths out well and gets rock hard.
