    Water pressure readings for Don

First off, Don, thanks for the all the things I ordered that you sent me, it was greatly appreciated. Installed my smartcraft monitor guage and here are readings.... Good Or Bad can you give me your opinions, 07, 225 opti.serial # 1B482541 80 hrs on it

At idle 1.6 psi good stream of water, has no problem warming up to 120 or higher and noticed after a run comes back to 120-130 and fluctuates here at idle after run, temp. seems to closer to 130 but noticed temp as high as 145, but comes down.

at WOT temp bottoms out to @ 109 never got any lower and I get @ 24 psi at this speed

    water temp. today was @ 40-55 ..
are these normal readings, or something to be concerned about with thermostats or poppet valves? Don

Re: Water pressure readings for Don (urbancowboy)

I'm not Don but I'd say they are normal, as they are what I also get.

I always, and I mean always, let mine warm up to 130 deg before putting any hard load o nthe engine.

WP also seems fine, I think the spec is 1-3 psi @ idle

    Perfectly normal.

    Water pressure specs:

1-3 psi at idle speed (minimum)
15 Psi (minimum) at WOT (prefer to see 18+ for safe measure).

"On plane" temps will vary, based on lake water temperature and running conditions (the thermostats are not controlling water flow at higher RPM's... poppet valve takes over instead).
