i know where your coming from when you say that you dont want to tackle it and mess anything up. if you got the money, then ok thats a different story...pay for it. but i have never done any type of carpet work before, when i oneday recarpeted an old boat of mine. your carpet looks in pretty descent shape, in meaning..that i have seen a lot worse. you would save a lot of money if you did it yourself. the centimental (sp?) value after you have finished is priceless. its honestly not a very hard job. there are plenty of pics and advise from this forum. once you get it taken up, and get the old glue scrapped up. slowly start applying your carpet, keeping it tight...its not that tough, although it may seem like it. best of luck....
