can anyone tell me how to do this without drilling into the boat? I had a good water leak due to bad livewell plumbing. The boat has been drying out for a few weeks in 90-100temps. any ideas? how long does this stuff take to dry out in 90-100 days?

Was the bilepump leaking at the front or more towards the rear? I'm currently replacing the floor and transom and i have wet foam. It really depends on how saturated the foam got and if there is a way for it to drain out. I thought that the foam in the middle of mine was almost dry but when i went and removed a board running horizontal to the stringers that suddenly water oozed out from the foam. There is a post on here that it took them all summer to dry the boat out and if i'm not mistaken Larry had the top cap removed. I know that the foam in the two back boxes still would not dry under the bottom. I ended up removing the foam and am rebuilding new boxes and will add new a b foam in them.

There really is no way of checking for wet foam, unless you have access to it. When I re-did my floor several years ago, my foam was just saturated. I drilled holes through the stringers and the water just ran out. The boat and the foam was exposed to the warm temps, but kept in a garage all summer, with a fan blowing on it and it was still an sob to dry out. I ended up drilling small holes through it every couple of inches. There were areas of the boat that were foamed that I could not get too (under front and rear decks). I ended up putting some PVC pieces into the stringer with a drain plug, in case I every get water in there again, I have a way of draining most of it out.
Boats are suppose to have closed cell foam in them, which isn't SUPPOSE to abosrb water. But, if exposed to it over time, water will find a way into the foam.

dissolve, penetrate, (ruin), anything!!!
the rear livewell plumbing was the cause of the leak. I really can't say how long water sat in the boat since I've only had the boat for less than 2 months. The only option I can think of is to have the boat weighed and at a public weigh station. I can't see myself having time to rip up the floor since the boat is stored 50 miles away from me.
Don't they use closed-cell foam? Meaning that it will not absorb water? Or very little? I think that you're fine, just fix the plumbing and go fishing!
I had plumbing problems on my 1989 365V and didn't notice any performance problems afterwards....

ithe plumbing is fixed and the boat no longer leaks...however ts a bit hard going out when you fish a river system (Cal Delta) and can't get out of the way when you need to....for me its a safety issue
I've been hearing everywhere that water will still penetrate eventually.
