    Question about my flake finish....

I have a 2000 tr21 and the whole topcap is red flake. If you look at it from the front it looks brand new but if you look at it from behind the boat, it looks like there is a cloud under the gel in some spots. The finish is smooth and shiny but the cloudy spots are there and it is way worse if it is in the sun. Is this the beginning of oxidation, sun damage maybe. Will this require wet sanding or just a good buff and polish?

Re: Question about my flake finish.... (HawkDriver)

It may have been repaired in the past-or possibly had some problem during build.I have seen this in brand new boat finish and was unable to get manufacturer to give explaination. It appeared to be behind the clear and maybe the flake(back-up color?),it shows up only in certain lighting.Let me know what they say!
