    Oxidation Remover that WORKS!

Long post because I cannot emphasize enuf how good this stuff worked.

Found a product that worked great for me--- "Yacht Brite Buff Magic".
Was looking at a black/ charcoal Stratos w/ blue flake deck cap, severely oxidized sun exposure keeping me from buying, top cap nearly yellow. Found this product at a SeaRay dealer, they use it on their trade-ins. I tested a spot and within a few minutes of applying, the color and 'depth' was back. Bought the boat!
" Buff Magic is a non-abrasive cream reconditioner" that removes oxidation chemically--NO sanding. I washed the boat, then applied by hand and buffed off with a common buffer like you use for waxing your car. Did it three times, then applied YachtBrite Pro Polish Sealant. Results were amazing. Then tried waxing a section but actually left it less crystal clear, so just finish with the sealant IMHO.

I have NO financial interests in this product other than the increased value of my boat. This stuff works!! I believe BoatersWorld.com carries the line also.
A tip from a shop guy at SeaRay-- put about a tsp. of diesel fuel into the cream to thin it A LITTLE and you can paint it on with a paint brush, then buff off. I tried but preferred using it straight from the can on a damp rag--takes longer to apply but I got better results overall. $22.00 for a 22 oz. can, enough to do my 19'6" single console 4 times, you can prob. find it cheaper. Follow directions on can, be careful around flat finishes and plastic guages, etc. as it will turn them whitish like wax does.

AMAZING---I would not have bought this boat otherwise and a Dealer offered me $1500 more (30%)than I paid 1 week after clean-up. That was 2 years ago and I still love the boat and I still use this stuff 2x/year.
Ain't it fun when it goes right!

Sorry jmw, no before pics--- i'm digitally challenged. In fact, boat looked so bad i was embarrassed to let anyone see it until i was done with the second treatment.
Boat gets compliments now given its age (1991). At some point i hope i can post some pics of my upgrades, including custom rod racks i built. just need a camera and destructions.
