    Carpet Restoration Help

Hey guys I searched around and been reading on carpet replacement but wanted to ask if anybody had any place they would recommend for a few items.
Where's the best place to get good carpet?
What's the difference in 16 and 20 ounce? Like new manufacturer x uses 16 and manf y uses 20 so I would know what difference we are talking about.
What did you use for glue on floors verses the lids?
Any recommendations on how to get it off the floors and is that the same way to get it off the lids?

Really appreciate your help in advance!

20 oz. carpet is thicker (more dense) than 16 oz. I used indoor/outdoor carpet glue for the main deck areas and contact cement for the lids. The contact cement bonds right away, which is easier when you are trying to wrap carpet around the lid corners. The carpet glue takes longer to set-up, so you can reposition the carpet, once set, if needed.

I used outdoor glue for the floor and contact cement for the lids also. Look at Bass Cat Boats web site for the carpet it was the best for the best price that I found..

Check out bassboatcarpets.com. They have some deals right now on 20 oz. carpet. I have recarpeted many boats, and 20 oz. is the way to go. If you need any help or pointers, send me an IM. The others are right, just look around on BBC boards, this is the best site out there for help on just about anything you need.

thanks guys...guess I need to start looking for the carpet and get to it. Think I'm going to let the weather get a tad warmer before I start. My garage is pretty cold.
