    recarpet ????

so i've been reading alot, and have desided to do it. now i have a few questions! how clean do the lids(alm) have to be?
the decks are painted just like the rest of the boat, do i need to scuff it up or leave as is? i've got all the glue up.

i know i should have asked these questions a week ago , but that's not like me.

    thanks,
    dale

The surface that is to be glued needs to be as clean as possible. I used acetone to clean everything before I put my carpet down. Lightly scuffing the surface isn't a bad idea, but getting everything clean is more important.

    Hey IGS
I have a question on your carpet.

Is the carpet that is on the sides of the front foot well one piece. or did you lay up the sides seperatley?

Thanks, My Cobra carpeting is almost identical to the Ranger and was curious

some side areas were part of the main floor section...in other spots it was cut seperately,,,make sure you keep the pieces you remove..I would have had a hell of a puzzle to figure out if I didnt...

    Thanks for the help.

I actually started ripping the carpet up today. Removed all of the storage lids. Boat looks terrible with the carpet pulled out. Hopefully mine will turn out as nice as yours!
