might check the aluminum guys some are doing the spray on bedliner stuff....
Ive gotten samples from several mfgrs of non-skid coatings, I initially thought would be a good idea. But after getting the samples, it seems like it would be harsh on bare feet, and easy to skin a knee on. They say you can add sand or ground walnut shells to Awlgrip paint and its nice, but Im still trying to decide what to do. I also looked at "Dri-Deck", it seems like a good product, but expensive for what it is...
You may find the discussion at the below url helpful. I know I did when I was considering similar options. Good luck.

Yeah thats where I read about the walnut shells, and also the same site I bought my epoxy from. The deck of my boat is s-glass and epoxy, and if it werent for the UV problem that epoxy has, I would consider that. But since it has to be painted, it seems like it would be better to incorporate the non-skid into the paint.
Im eliminating my "rod locker" and may extend the front deck, if I do, I wont need nearly as much material for the floor,so I have a while before I make a decision....
Ive never had a boat with carpet, doesnt it get stinky and nasty pretty fast?
yes i have but never on a bass rig. my stratos came non skid from the factory..-no carpet-
prep is the hardest part on doing it..remove all the carpet and doing some sanding but when i did mine i added a 280 qt fish box in the middle of the boat.-told ya not a bass rig- the #1 thing is the wood floor an tin lids have to be perfectly dry.. i use a paint on marine bottom paint -can't remember who makes it- the FIRST coat needs to have the anti skid grit in it. then i put 4 more coats on top of that. the result is a grippy floor that a pressure washer has a field day cleaning.. i removed the tin lids prior to the floor paint it made it easier to reattach them watch as to not get the grit in the lid areas.. i used a 6" paint roller with the grit. of course i was painting an area the size of a pick up truck...but i still would go with a roller to apply..

I considered this option before recarpeting mine and the only problem i saw was that my lids were not going to fit snug anymore because of the lack of carpet in the seams. I just did not care for the big gaps between the lids.
But one of the reasons bass boats have carpet is to cut down on the noise of your feet, rods, etc. hitting the boat. The carpet works as a sound barier. Fish don't really hear your voice, etc. but they do hear you banging around in your boat.
don't bet on it.. never had a problem with spooking fish even when bed fishing..
