I am planning to patch a couple of nicks in my gelcoat with a gelcoat paste kit from Spectrum Color. Boat is in my garage and I am guessing it to be about 55 degrees in there. Can I do the repair successfully, or do I need a minimum temp of around 70?

SOLD all the above Fall of 2010 - bought a big open bow Larson "family" boat. Family does not like the Mississippi River as much as I do, so I sold that in the fall of 2012.
I'm thinking it is time for a straight up bass boat.
You need it to be in the 70's most gelcoat gel times ect are designed at 78 degrees.......
and that means 70+ on the boat surface not the air temp. epoxy will go to lower surface temp.
put the tarp on the boat and a elecric heater in the boat set at 75 and heat over nite. heat the gerage as your heating the boat.
