I am thinking about starting a club for 2012. I have been looking at both the TBF and B.A.S.S.. What is the preferance? The cost difference. From what I gathered it looks like BASS is cheaper on the person.

You don't have to be affiliated with either if you don't want. The main reason to be with FLW or BASS is to have a chance to fish their qualifiers and regionals and so on. If you just want to form a group for having tournaments I would do it without affiliating with either so you can set the price per event at what you want it to be and decide your own pay out. Most stand alone clubs will have 100% payout and that's best in my opinion, but some club's keep a portion to pay for trophies and stuff like that.
