I have a regional tx coming up in October and have never been to the river. I am not really sure if we are going to be able to do much pre fishing for it other than the few days before the tournament. We are launching from Charleston. Any help will be greatly appreciated...
probably need to talk to wvbassmaster. I always lock up into next pool, and fish below the next lock, but that was last year and did not have to fish there this year..
that river has lost me.it is been tough for me.if u are fishing the fishers of men tournament i would suggest locking up or down a pool
Yeah we are fishing the FOM regional. Any info you guys can give would be greatly appreciated
Lot of shad in the lower end of the Winfield Pool. Haven't been out there in a few weeks but plan to hit it some this month. Can tell you this much though there will be 4 big tourneys out there before the FOM tourney in mid October so every fish out there will probably have a hole punched in it's lip. Just be prepared for a tough tourney.

Fishing retreads can be usefull on a tough lake or river Sometime it the winning pattern stay close to the ramps & find the first place they'll hold up on
