    Rappahannock River

Fished the Tidal Rapp on Saturday. Very good crankbait bite on the wood at Hicks Landing area. No huge fish but plenty of 2 to 2-1/2lb footballs. Love it when they get that 200 Bandit stuck sideways in their mouths. This river is going to be making a major comeback in the next couple of years.

James, thanks for the report. What kind of water temps were you getting? I live just a few minutes from there and always seem to end up on Potomac - maybe I ought to fish the Rapp a little more foten.

We put in at Hicks at 1st light and had 54. It warmed to 56-57. Beautiful day on the Rapp. I fish from Fredericksburg to Greenbay on most outings(most of my club tourneys go out of the City Docks). I couldn't get much going except 1mile north to 1 mile south of Hicks this time out. Chart/shad 200 Bandit was the ticket for me.
