Anyone been to Smith Mountain?
Never been there...but trying to find a safe lake (as far as water levels go) to fish over spring break with my brother. Any information would be great!
Went to Smith Mtn. Sunday. Caught 7 LM, with largest being 4lbs. Water temp mid 40's. Plenty of water, about full pond.
Tournament out of State Park took 22lbs with 5 fish! 119 boats, paying 11 places, needed 18lbs to get a check. 5 limits over 20lbs!!!!
Thanks for the info. I'm debating between Lake Gaston and Smith Mountain to fish in a couple weeks. Smith Mountain is definately closer to me and it is good to hear that there is plenty of water and the bite is decent.
The bite at Smith is about to explode! The TTT tournament had 5-5 bass limits over 20lbs! Can be an absolute great lake.
