heading to fork march 12,13 and 14 and was looking for some pointers. Staying at the minnow bucket. What is the best part of the lake to fish? any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Bryan,
This what I have found to be best right now and I fish almost exclusivley on that side of the lake. Water temp was 55-57 within 5 miles of hwy 154 bridge on Wed.
I worked my favorite pattern, a suspending rap extreme firetiger and got no bites at all.
Moved in a little and saw no cruisers. I backed out to 8-12 foot and started pitching brush hogs on timber (grass was a plus) and bam, I got bit.
Both patterns are good and each will work on certain days and conditions.
I would really like to see the water get to 60 degrees. Find any bank with heavy timber and quick deep water access, and work this pattern. You can go around the point to the golf course and there is a ton of that kind of environment available.
Oh yeah, get some P-Line Halo Flourocarbon 20lb test...expensive, but worth every penny. Good luck and let me know how it goes. As a former season ticket holder for the Mudbugs, I miss the hockey, but love the bass fishing on Fork.![]()
Don
