Post some general info if you have fished it....I have never been there but would be interested in fishing it before the heavy boating season.

Lessee, no grass, very little manmade structure. There are ledges and well defined channels. Primary forage is alewive so the bass roam with them. Large no wake zones is nice for fishing when there's lots of boat traffic. I've done best pitching jigs and senkos and feel lucky if I end the day with a few.

Hi Bob. I was there yesterday. It is one of my go to spots when I first get the boat out of storage because the launch facility I use (Dry Brooks) is great. They get the dock at the ramp in early and there is little current to deal with. Very easy to launch and take out by myself.
Fishing is another story. I think I have only gotten one or two every time I have been there.

Hi Rick, being out is half the fun.....thanks for the info...![]()
I was there Thursday afternoon. Water temps were 51 to 53 and the water was pretty murky. I fished a few main lake points and ended up in the back of the arm under the 183 bridge. I caught two back there on an orange jig. One 2 1/2 pounds and the other just short of 15".

Well, that will help explain my problem on Friday. Water temp was down to 48.

Sounds like it cools off pretty quick......does it warm just as quick?
I always did terrible there.. lived outside Reading for 10 years and i never caught a limit of fish.(Maybe i'm just that bad)
let me rephrase that..Maybe i used to just be that bad!! I can put a limit in the boat most days at Raystown..
We just fished Blue Saturday morning, for the first time and caught a bunch of dinks, and these beauties!

Little late on the post, but better late than never.
I live about a mile and a half from the Sheidy Launch.
Tough lake, lots of pressure.
We caught a large mouth around 6 lbs last Tues Tourn.
Been cathin everything on spinner baits recently.
Usually do better with tubes and jigs on wood.
