I was kicking around the idea of trying it next winter on Lawtonka. Do I need to get a whole new set up for this is it possible to make do with a 7 ft shakey head set up?

I have never tried it, but as I understand the technique, all you need is light fluorocarbon line, wind , bobber and the right size and color fly. Seems a lot like drop shot fishing in that you are targeting suspended fish. I am kind of thinking that a finesse worm rigged wacky style with a big enough bobber might also be effective.
If I get out after the fist of the year I am going to give it a try.
Let us know how you do.
