Was on the water by 5:30 pm. Had a little bit of overcast rain clouds left over. Started fishing a chug bug on the first point leading into the south end and had 5 fish on 10 casts slap at the bait but wouldn't eat it. As soon as the clouds left around 6:30 the topwater bite stopped. Caught a couple of fish on a senko in about 12 ft of water over the grass beds then after that if I wasn't on the edge of the grass I didn't get bit. I was fishing about 18-20 ft on the grass edge and was throwing the shakey head and on three occasions it only fell about three feet before there was a fish on. Also tried a wacky rigged finnesse worm in the same area and caught a few but it stopped quick. Then it was dead til about an hour before dark. I started fishing the outside grasslines along the steep cliff bank with a shakey head and caught 3 off of the point on the south end. All in all it was a good day but you had to work at it. I think I had 8 fish, with 3 in the slot and the rest under.
