Got out about 8:30 this morning and put in at Robinson's Landing. This is my first time on the north end and only my 4th time on the lake. I was hoping to get in a good flipping bite for largemouths but when I got there the surface temp was 86-88 degrees. I figured it was too hot after fishing around there for a while so I headed down towards the dam to try my luck at some smallies. I fished a deep break and a shallow hump with no takers and headed back towards the ramp at about 11 am. It was so hot I could not pay attention to my fishing. Right when I got back to the boat ramp I noticed some lily pads so I decided to flip a sweet beaver at them. I didn't get anything in them but I started throwing at the overhanging bushes and caught one and had another bite. It was a tough day for just one fish but when the water warms up ten degrees in a couple of days it gets tough quick.
