Trust me I do. I do not live there any more and the game wardens still know who I am. My cousin and I had a reputation up there. The only saving grace I had is my friends father growing up was the justice of the peace. I can't wait to go. I am fishing a little river that flows to the St. Lawrence and the small mouth are stacked up in there. I can't wait to catch 100 plus fish again. Down here in Va where I fish you might catch 100 crappie in a day.

I have no clue how they would ever enforce something like that. Do they flat out tell you what species you are fishing for? Before the year round bass season here I would tell them I was fishing for perch with my 1/2oz rattletraps lol.

The state police will hold you if they catch you so the game warden can give you a ticket. You have to wait until May 1st when walleye and pike come in, be fore that they call it harrassing the spawn. They play no games. Technically you are not suppose to pull the bass out of the water to take the hook out. The problem being like I said it is fed from the St. Lawrence and there are two sets of rapids they have to get across. They do but it stacks them up before it. Last year my dad passed away and while I was home I went across the street sat in one spot and caugh 25 in an hour and forty five minutes.It is only good like that for May after that they head back down to the big river. It is the best kept secret of New York.
