I made it out a ton but didn't catch alot of big fish this year, certainley nothing to brag about.
I think I read to much crap on here I need to go back to a rapala and a zoom lizard
I made it out to quite a few new places and learned a few more tricks. Look out next year

I had a very late start! After all kinds of medical stuff and having to downgrade my boat I got set up and was able to go out in july. I did alright, got a few lunkers in team tourneys and caught a 7-11 on squam. I think I posted the pic here. I stuck to the basics, Topwater in the morning followed by carolina rigs and jigs all afternoon. Late season smallies were very good this year! I want to try new things this coming year. I think I am done with tournaments until I am able to get a new used boat. Winnipesaukee is also a 2 hour drive for me now and that sucked the fun out of it . I am looking forward to fun fishing as many lakes as I can west of concord next year. I would also like to mention that Ive met a lot of great people fishing. While I was in the hospital and recovering I got visits and calls from fishing friends and it meant the world! Happy New Year everybody

Funny you should ask as I was thinking about this myself. For me 2010 was great fun. Nothing huge but caught a lot. 2011 on the other hand was a bust. There was one stretch late in the season where I went to Northwood, Pleasant and Winnisquam and probably caught a total of 3 fish. Even struggled on Swais which has normally been good fun for me. Oh well, still fun to shred some water with the boat and irritate the real fishermen.

Didn't get to places I really wanted to try.
Didn't catch any big ones this year but was happy with what I caught. Had to get used to a new boat which is pretty good and most of the time the weather was nice when I wanted to go out. Caught a lot of fish on jigs but next season will have a TX worm setup on deck. Time to go back to basics. Will also have a 4" powerwrom on a spinning setup.

I had a great year! I did six weekend trips to the house in Maine. Two of them were guy’s weekends. Always a good time, that makes for some good stories down the road. Tried some new techniques and styles of fishing and did a few tournaments. Best placed finish was 4th. Had a lot of good times on the water. This is the 2nd year with the boat and it’s still running great. Painted the trailer last spring, put on new bunks and replaced all the lights with LED’s. I started a log book at the beginning of the year. Use it 7 times, then got to lazy to record stuff. Next year I’ll use it all year. It would have been nice to look back on the year.
I'd like to fish a few new lakes next year in NH and ME.
Really looking forward to next year. Can’t wait for the winter to be over

This year had some ups and downs. Fishing was too few. I had to work too many weekends and missed out on a lot of fishing with Phil and Russ. I ran into James after quite some time and managed to get him out fishing. I talked him into fishing the Squam Lake T and he partnered up with Kevin (and won). Now he's hooked on Tournament fishing. The highlight of the year was convincing my Brother Mike to join me at the BBC Northern Rally. We caught up on a lot of things but the highlight was watching him bring in a few bass out of the weeds.

Re: So how did you do fishing this year. (Mac)

I had a pretty good year, although it was the second consecutive late start due to boat issues. But that carpet does look really nice!

I caught plenty of fish, but only had two fish break 4 lbs. One of those was a lunker smallie at a tournament though, and I finished 2nd place at that, so it was definitely worth it. I wish I had more time to fish the entire trail for my club, because I think we would have placed pretty well in the overall standings. Overall, for tourney fishing, I'm beyond happy with how the year went. We fished less than half of the tournaments and finished almost in the middle of the standings. Had a few good showings, including a 4th on Ossipee and I had never fished there before. Just fun fishing in general, I worked on getting better at the techniques I learned the year before, still trying to keep things simple. I also started a fishing journal, but stopped filling it in sometime in September, which was stupid. But, better than nothing.

I'm with you Mac, is it spring yet?!?!

I'm happy with 2011. Fished Winni a ton and made the BASS State team in August. Got a new boat which I really, really like and nhbass didn't wreck it, which was even better. Fished Champlain for a week which was a blast. Proud that Travis was Jr NH State champ again in his last year of fishing junior events. Travis and I had an awesome time at BBC Northern Rally and really enjoyed meeting Mac's brother (great guy). Atomic Buffalo Turds were unreal, too. Can't wait for next years rally and March madness. Hope you all have a good 2012! Especially Snover, whom we all know is expecting...

Happy New Year first off. Second I didn't have my best year ever fishing wise but no complaints except for the Stqt on Winni, bad tourney and got a ticket from MP. Martha and I did pretty good all year in small club tournies and caught a bunch of nice largies on Champlain, we usually go up there for smallies.
Looking forward to a little ice fishing soon.
Well looking forward to seeing everyonee at Rod's.

Not a stellar year but caught lots of decent fish.
Biggest was only an +/- oz around 5lb.
We had a lot of days where numbers were 18 fish or better all year.
Same baits as usual flukes, lizards, senko style,.
Spinnerbait bite was dead, crankbait was off too.

Re: So how did you do fishing this year. (TMG)

I got my first Glass boat in feb and i think I got out most of the glitches. Now in the spring i will be buffing it up. I really got into fishing this year and bought a ton of rods and lures. Nothing to write home about but I was happy with my overall average. I went out late in the year and seemed to have better luck. I can't wait for winter to be over and back on the lake. I also realized how great it is fishing alone with your ipod cranking and not a worry in the world!
