Anyone on BIP today?

Saw a half dozen boats there. Had a pretty good day. Started out with 4 bass in the first hour, one about 1.5 and another about 2.5. Caught about 6 spinnerbait fish, a couple on a Live Target crank and also had a nice rainbow on a grub. Most were near rocks or under a dock.

Went to Massy. Tough bite, water high. Caught 4 in about 4 hours. Got 15 on Sat. on Webster Lake.

I was there from 7:30- 12, caught four in the first hour then nothing but pickerel. But it was a nice day to be on the water. Going to try to get out a few more times before the end of the season.

I was there with my wife fishing. I think I was right next to you at one point. I had the gray and silver Astro. We got a couple both on spinners. I can't seem to be consistant on there any where. One day they are biting the next they aren't. Have you had any luck in boulder cove there? I tried twice, and I see them on the gps but they don't bite. My wife caught hers by the shore in about 2 ft of water and I got mine in about 12 feet of water.

BIP can be tough, the pressure in usely rite up there. It has always been feast or famin. As for your fish finder, they lie.

I usually fish in open water there.
The shorelines get beaten to death.
Find weedy areas away from the shoreline in 6'-15' water.
I know a couple small areas in 18' that will produce fish almost
every time if the bait fish are there during mid-summer.
It drives a lot of people nuts to fish without casting to a target but
at most lakes,that is how I fish now.
I'm always fishing finesse baits too.

The only area that has produced consistently for me is the back end of Escumbuit Island, about 15' of water. Anyone else do well there? I fish from the world's worst tin rig, so I can't get to a lot of spots.

That is one of my favorite areas.
Cabbage down into 18'
If the bait is there so are the fish.
