Just wondering how they're hitting, if anyone went out late last week or this weekend. I have my first tourney this Sunday, and hopefully I can get out there on Tuesday, then Saturday, and Sunday for the tourney. Last I talked to my Dad he said he was interested, but we'll see how that goes. He changes his mind every 5 minutes.
But, it's Fathers Day, whatever he wants to do, I'll go along with.
Went 2 weeks ago. It was a tough bite. Not much was happeneing. Don't waste time up the channel since it's off limits for T's.. So I'm told.
Ya, that's how it was the last time we were there. Not really interested in that area of the lake anyways, the couple of times that I've been up there, it hasn't been productive for me. Seems to be better for spinnerbaits, and that's one on my weaknesses.
I think I'll throw some braid on finally and work on flipping a creature bait into the thick stuff and see what I can come up with. And I can finally try out my swim jigs. Plan is to go out Tuesday, I'll be sure to report back.
You're right Mac. Our club has a Tx there this year and not only did we get a permit from the state but we also got one from the Corp of Engineers and it stated that the upper part, through the channel to the rod & gun club was off limits.

So much for that. Finally got in touch with my Dad, he's not interested in fishing the tourney this weekend. Instead, he wants to fish Winnisquam.
Forget that, with the beautiful weather this weekend, and Bike Week wrapping up? I'm not at all interested in getting stuck in that traffic on the way home, forget it.
Just need to decide where to go now. Might try Spofford Lake, I've never been there. Any suggestions?
Yeah Get there real early parking is limited and ANYONE using the ramp can park (canoe,waterbugs and yak's) taking up trailer spots. not a bad fishery though.
