Ramps closing on Winni to us ?

A guy at work gave me the June Hawkeye paper. I read that Gilford and surrounding towns ARE closing ramps to fishermen Ames Farm has a sign that says no fishing. I forget a couple other spots that won't let you park arround the ramp. WTF ? If you stay at the motel you can access but otherwise it's all for the rich and they don't want us.

Time to start writing the politicians! The property owners have the money and seem to make the rules.

We have bought groceries, gas, booze and went out to eat last night to the tune of $112.00. If we can't put our boats in the water and park our vehicles and trailers it will have an impact on the state. And, we are only 4 people. Multiply that times hundreds of people and their looking at some serious cash.

I get depressed about it sometimes but we can't let them win!

You have to convince them that they stand to lose BIG $$ from fishermen who will go to other, friendlier states - the legislature needsto hear it too, not just the town or county folks....the loss of tourist money scares them worse than anything -- lookit the Laconia biker week -- too much $$ to run them off, even tho the locals hate it!

I have already contacted the Meredith Chamber of Commerce a couple weeks ago
    and got no reply,big surprise.
At this point Lees Mills is still the only free launch without parking issues.

They have been told for years that they will lose money. They dont care, they will get money from other tourests. Up state has no balls to do anything about it.
