    Anyone using Direct TV

    Getting tired of Comcast.
They keep cutting channels and raising prices.
    Any input?

I'm at the same crossroad Tyler. I have them for internet too. They are slowly moving channels for digital and still ask for $$ to upgrade. I didn't ask for the upgrade, it's forced on us. It might be the same story with satelite TV as well.

Yep, Comcast keeps going up. But, it's about the only game in town if you want high speed internet. We have basic cable and high speed internet and were paying $115/month. My wife called them and asked if they had lower prices and stated that we were looking at switching to satellite TV. Well, wouldn't you know it, all of a sudden we (Comcast) can come up with a better deal for you mam! We got a one year deal and are now paying $95/month. That's about a $240 savings for the year.

So give them a call and see what happens. It doesn't hurt to try!

Verizon has triple play, Direct tv, telephone and Highspeed internet. They use fiber optic cable, not avail in all areas. I got fed up w/ comcast a year ago. Went to Direct TV with dish on roof. Got 3 rooms, HD and DVR $100 a month with sports package and HBO. You also get about 100 HD channels. The only thing I miss is on demand when I forget to set DVR. I hated Comcast for a long time. Don't get Dish network, they might be cheaper but you get what you pay for! Very Bad customer service!

Have had DirectTV for about 5 years now. Can report no trouble with them except for one thing. We had the football and baseball package down in Florida so we could watch the Boston teams. When we moved back up here had a little problem trying to cancel that package. They'd say ok but kept giving us the service and sending the bill. Took about 3 months of not paying it before it sunk in I guess. While in Florida we went through 3 hurricanes and of course lost service for a day or so. When it gets real cloudy and stormy we'll lose the signal usually for a few minutes at most. Overall am very satisfied with them
