    Re: Northwood Lake ? (TMG)

I've been there a few times. Lately the weeds have been tough for fishing. Not nearly as bad as BIP (I know...Let it go Mac ).Points worked well years ago. I don't think I went there this year.
Launch is fun. If someone is launching, wait until they make the corner before you pull up. There is room but why rush and take a chance having the guy hit your rig.

Yup the launch road is narrow and the launch is shallow.
When leaving shore stay to the right side to get to the main lake.
The left side has many hazards that can do hull damage.
Points usually work OK as long as the winds are light.
I like finding weeds in 13 ft if the points are not working and fishing plastics but the
fish should be moving shallower now.
I have seen good bags of fish taken out of the launch cove itself from extremely shallow water.

Don't wait too long. They do a draw down in about 2-3 weeks. You would be able to walk about 100yards once they do that. You'd have to wear snowshoes though. The mud is pretty deep there.

Northwood has not been very good all year.
It gets especially tough if it gets windy.
