Sounds awesome. It will probably be around Friday the 25th before I get to go.
Kings river has some ice on it lets hope that gets off for to long. Have seen a few out this week there at shell knob bridge
any one know wha the water temp is?
My guess would be somewhere between "cold" and "really freaking cold".

I didn't go on Thursday just too windy. Anyone else been? I'm going to try again next week maybe the water temps might come up a bit.![]()
Paul and I are planning on going on Friday. We'll see.......
I'm going down Friday to pre-fish for small club tourney on Saturday...![]()
I went to Cape Fair Thursday of last week, water temp at the ramp was 40º, tried to find some fish in the main lake...nothing. So we spent the last half of the day fishing near Bridgeport and at the Flat Creek Resort area. Found water in the 50's up that way. Did manage to catch 5 fish, none keepers...one was close. The fish came on jig and craw and my partner found his on a Wooley Bug. I think we are heading to Bull Shoals Friday....will see what happens there.![]()

We're still planning to go to Shell Knob Friday 2/25. I hope to get to post some nice pics.
Think me and Eby are gonna hit the Rock tomorrow...looks like it supposed to be up in the 60s and cloudy so hopefully we can find a few fish
I hope you guys get to go. Paul and I had a blast like we always do. We didn't catch a
bunch, but we finally broke our 'February curse". The last two years we got skunked in
February. This year we caught 1 smally and a handful of nice fat little Kentuckies.
We put in at the big steel bridge at Shell Knob. We ran up the White almost to Roaring River. We couldn't find any water warmer that 40.6*. It was pretty bleak down there.
We fished pretty hard. I threw a grub, a crankbait, a pointer jerkbait, and a spoon. All
of my bites came on the spoon. Paul caught his on a spoon and a wacky worm. That's right! A Wacky Worm in February in 40* water about 8' deep. I couldn't believe it.
