Don't even have to leave Springfield to catch fish.......amazing!!!

Gotta work tomorrow, but its been a whole week since Paul and I went fishin', so Andy
and I took the little troll motor boat back to Springfield Lake. Not bad.......

Andy caught this one on one of his little custom air brushed crank baits.

I caught this one on one of the spinnerbaits Andy and I built last year.

Andy caught this one on a grape worm with a bright orange fire tail he bought at a
garage sale 20 for a dollar.

Its an ugly spinnerbait I know....but it catches gorgeous fish.

We built this spinnerbait too, which make catching this little beast all the more fun!!

We didn't fish any of the main lake at all. We stayed in the skinny east end where its
more like a river. Honestly, we were surprised we did so well. Bass are bass.......
    where ever you find them.

I used to fish on lake springfield a lot haven't been on it in a while, I have caught some pretty good fish down there. My undestanding is that you can put any kind of boat on that lake, but you can not run the main engne, correct? I have seen a Ranger or two out there IIRC.

The rules posted at the ramp say no more than a 6hp motor is allowed on the lake at
any time. I have seen bass boats on the lake but they had the props taken off of the
outboard. I don't know how closely they enforce the rules.
