    TABLE ROCK

A buddy and I are headed for Kimberling City for a weeks fishing on the Rock.
I talked with the lady where we're staying and she said the lake was the highest since 1993. Said we would have to take our boat in and out each day because the marina was closed. My question is where are the fish in these high water conditions?

    Any help appreciate. Thanks

Well actually the lake is as high as its ever been!! Power pool (normal) is 915 ft above sea level---it got up to 933 and some change! I think its around 927 and change now and yes you will have to take the boat in and out daily unless you want to swim to the dock . Based on information I have heard, the fish are up in the trees-spinnerbaits,swimbaits and jigs are the ticket. Water temp now around 66*. Good luck to you guys!

UPDATE: I heard today that some of the fish being caught now are outside of the trees! Maybe finishing (some of them) the spawn??

    Hey Brian

Thanks for getting back on my inquiry about Table Rock. We just got back to Middle TN from five days fishing on Table Rock. It is the most beautiful lake I have been on. The water was really up in the woods. We caught a total of 14 bass, all except three on Swimming Senko and the 4" Senko. Water temsp were ranging from 69 to 74. All were in the trees. Lost many baits. Largest fish was a fat 6 lb Large mouth. All others were 1-1.5 lb range. All caught in Cow Creek except the largest one and it was in the creek up past Ozark Mt Resort. It was really tough fishing and I think the fish are definitel on bed. The next couple weeks should really open up. Good luck, be safe and thanks again. We definitely plan on going back next spring.

Congratulations on your fun trip!!! Did you catch any good Kentucky's or smallmouth? Cow and little cow are excellent creeks to fish in. Glad you had a good time and come on back when you can!!

    Brian

Our catch was pretty well split between KY spots and small mouths with the exception of the big large mouth. We will be back. I know that everyone there will be happy when the water resedes. I noted an article by the Corp of Engineers stating that it would be mid July before the lake gets back to normal.

Thanks again Brian and stay safe and have a great summer.

I have been too busy working to fish much this Spring so I was curious if anyone could tell me if the Indian Point ramp was open. The last few times I went I launched at Mill Creek so I wasn't sure about Indian.

    Thank you!
