    2019 Ranger 520C Keypads

My Ranger has 3 touchpads 2 driver console and 1 Bow. These control everything and for the second time in a week they went out running down the river and everything just stopped. They won’t do anything. I replaced them 2 days ago and today, same exact thing. I also bought the bypass key, so this time I wasn’t stranded.
    Question(s)
What causes this? What can I do to troubleshoot?
Is there a rocker switch swap out? Each pad is nearly $400 and all I want is to turn on nav lights and live wells.

If the new keypads are two days old, I’d suspect something else is causing an issue and installing new keypads jiggled something that was not (and will isn’t ) connected properly. I’d go behind the keypad and look for something that may be an issue that by swapping the keypad may have inadvertently temporarily fixed. Check every connection behind here. Also check for correct voltages

Based on the wiring diagrams, each pad connects directly to the CCU. Can a short on one of the other pads carry through the CCU and short the other two. Does the CCU isolate? Something took them all out twice. Let’s say there’s a short on the Livewell Pump, is it possible that can carry through to take out the other pads? If not it seems the source can only be the CCU, otherwise anything in the boat could cause this, and that’s a frustrating thought. I would like to know how the CCU and Pads carry and pass voltage, I assume each switch on the pads is a Triac type output, not solid state. The CCU has a common voltage connection that it distributes, with out a diode or some isolation, a short could carry through the CCU, which is what I’m afraid of, means I have to diagnose every powered device on that boat. Any idea where to find detailed wiring and Sequencing for that system?

My 22 518 had the power control module go out and this exact thing happened to mine. Keypads were dead. Replaced the mod and they work again……

I have a brand new control module listed in the Misc. classifieds if you’re interested. I think they are the same units
