Have the better fish gone deep or

Pretty sure post spawn on lake I fish. Water temps 70 to 75. It was a cold front condition yesterday only caught a few in the 12 to 13 in class. Don’t know if it was the colder weather or if they have started to go deeper. Very high pressure lake. Thanks for any help.

Conroe Last weekend. I caught a 6.45 in 4 feet, but the tourney was won with 33lbs out deep. Our temps are
already in the 80’s at the end of the day. I’d say it depends on the lake and what you consider deep.

Where's the bait fish? The males should still be up guarding fry, and the females should be up shallow feeding up after the spawn, and both should be up harassing the bluegills during their spawn.

one thing that FFS has taught us is majority of the bass live offshore. But one thing is for sure, there will always be a population that lives shallow and they’re much less pressured today than they were 5 years ago.

probably a mix between cold front conditions and post spawn just had them turned off

Water clarity makes a big difference. Points and humps with structure are a good place to look. And when in doubt just tie on something you can cover water with and cover as much as time and energy will allow. You'll find the eager roamers eventually...maybe.

I only caught a few small fish this morning, same size class as yours. Water temp has dropped five degrees and no shad spawning so I think they’ve pulled back to deeper water. I will go look deeper tomorrow, lake presently looks like a washing machine and I ain’t going out there.

Here the lakes are 6-8 ft above normal. Fish will be in the flooded stuff until it drops out of it.

Lakes are low here with temps in the lower to mid 60's.

Caught 35 yesterday. All in 30 to 40ft. Water was 65 degrees. Water Visability was 30ft. 1/4 oz underspin thrown on 8lb floro was the way.
Shallow in my area is 20ft.

I see them moving deeper too. That shallow bite was fun while it lasted.

Yes. Like a high mountain lake clear.
Southern Utah lakes are tough to fish for folks from other parts of the country.

Some of our highland reservoir lakes here in Arkansas are that clear. I do prefer some stain in the water but nothing beats how pretty a bass is out of a deep clear lake with grass in it.

Caught one nice fish last evening, deep, on a 10" worm. Yea! They've gone deep.
Maybe not, this morning it was crickets deep so I went shallow with a Rico popper around 7:00 am and hooked four decent fish in the next hour while only landing one. Back to normal at SML, haven't a clue.
