    Older Ranger Livewell Question

I have a 93 361v so it just has the slide "switches" to fill or empty the livewells. I fish some tournaments where we trailer our boats then bag and weigh the fish. The newer boats that have a pump out feature you can use to put water in your bag. Is there something I can add or change to have something similar to that?

What about recirculation. I have an older Ranger as well.

I have a 1990 374v and with the lever in closed it will recirc on the trailer, until I empty it, unless the flowrite valves get old and gummed up them they leak and the water all runs out.

Yes you can add all of that. On my 373V I got rid of the cable system entirely, and added another pump to the rear livewell for recirculate and added a pump out on it as well.

What i did for short term is i bought a battery powered transfer pump. So with the boat on the trailer I use the pump to put water from the livewell to my weigh in bag. Then I add the fish and drain the rest.

The pump out feature takes about 5 minutes to fill a weigh bag. Meanwhile you can use a 1/2 gallon lemonade pitcher from Walmart and fill your bag in 1 minute, plus get your fish out of the livewell while you’re there.

close your livewell, turn on areator, drive to weigh in, put fish in bag, empty livewell into bag from back of boat where livewell drains, worked in the 80's before pump outs
