    Nitro Trailer Axle

Pulled into the driveway yesterday only to find one of the hubs burned up and marred the spindle. 2019 Nitro Z20. Tandem axle trailer. Supposed to be a 6 year, 100,000 mile warranty but I’m the second owner. I got the axle off and was hoping that it was a standard size. It’s the non-brake axle. I’m finding many axles that measure 80” center to center on the spring pin and 95” hub face to hub face. The Nitro axle measures 79-1/2” and about 93-1/2”. I plan to call the Nitro Trailer plant in Ozark, MO first thing in the morning. I have a trip scheduled soon (don’t we all?) so I’m anxious to get it fixed. Any experience with this?

Should be fixable by replacing the wear sleeve. Axle should have a number stamped on it.

Yeah, crawled under the boat and never saw a number stamped on the axle

Any idea where they usually put the stamp?

I had the exact same thing happen to me. Although my 2021 has brakes on both axles. I ended up just replacing the whole axle. A note if you go that route you will have to order 4 new springs as well. They changed from a single leaf to a 3 leaf set up and you cant buy the single leafs anymore new axle comes with the new leafs.
