My motor is mounted on the third hole from the top and have 8 dots showing. With that said I would lower the jack on trailer and get the pad level then take a level and level the top of your cavitation plate on the motor, then take a straight edge from the pad back to the point on lower unit and see where your measurement is. Hopefully it is around 3 1/2 inches below the pad. If not, I would move my motor to get around 3 to 3 1/2 inches should make a world a difference if you’re not currently there now. My boat came with a 24 t2 prop that Is turning 6000 rpms at 72 mph. I am getting 18 psi on my water gauge

It's Interesting that your boat came with a 24pT2 prop...my stock prop was a 25pT2...I hardly ever pay attention to rims, but 71mph is the top speed I've seen...

My one dot setting fixed my problem, at least with three quarters of a tank of gas anyway. What’s weird to me is Mojos boat is at 3.5 inches prop to shaft at an 8 dot higher motor setting, and I’m at 2.75 with a lower one dot setting, seven dots difference being almost two inches. Makes no sense to me that the wedges would change the prop height that much. I’m measuring with the prop shaft at a level position though. When trimmed all the way down the end of the prop shaft is no longer level, and moves down another inch and a half, making it closer to four inches. The wedges make it tuck under the boat pad quite a bit. Thanks for all your help guys. Can’t tell you what a relief it is to have a boat that finally rides right. Should have been that way from the get go.

And by the way, it ran 65 with an almost full tank and had more left, so I don’t think I lost much speed either.

Verkeith, Mojo, I forgot to ask, are either of you guys running lithium batteries? That would take like 150 lbs out of the very back, and could be the big difference in our rides as well.

Yes, I have 3 lithiums for my trolling motor, 1 lithium for electronics and a AGM cranking battery...definitely improved my hole shot and didn't lose any speed...also verified this morning 8 dots showing and a stock 25pT2 prop..

I am running 4 lead acid batteries. I had 36v lithium on my basscat and lost 3-4 mph so I went lead acid on this one.

You went from a Basscat to a Skeeter. What Basscat did you have? I'm considering a Caracal STS with a 250SHO. I've heard that some say Basscat lose performance and some say they don't with lithiums. I really love my ZXR19 though

I had a puma. Basscat makes a great boat. They are just very narrow unless you get the puma sts or one of the new wider versions. My zxr is 10-1/2” wider inside the gunnel just in front the console.

Mojo you lost mph with the lighter lithiums? It may have made the boat more naturally nose down, but I would have thought trimming up more could offset it.

The basscat is made for heavy batteries in the rear and when I lost the weight it rode dead flat all the way to 50 then it would start to lift. It would run 77-78 fully loaded with 50 gallons of fuel and 2 people

I think a few different brands see the same results with lithiums
