Infinity 702S custom baitcaster - incredible strolling & dropshot rod
This rod is custom built baitcast by "Vinny" and is impeccable for fit and finish. Rod, guides, wrap, reel seat are 9/10. The only flaw is a small scrape in the bottom portion of the EVA grip. This rod is truly exceptional, I am only selling because I don't fish the techs for which this rod excels, and I hate to see it not used.
$245 shipped in PVC & Insured NON-USPS (most likely FedEx or UPS) to lower 48 or $200 local pickup.
Details and information:
- 7'0" length with a ML rating of 1/8-1/2 and it is a fast+/XF in taper with a soft ML tip that is very quick and precise and then loads quickly into a Med+ backbone.
- Champagne gold trim, thread wraps, front winding check, and gold rings on the EVA handle.
- 11 micro Fuji SS SIC guides (traditional on top build).
- Fuji ECS reel seat with blank with blank cutout in front of trigger, split grip EVA rear. Length of 10.75" from bottom point of reel seat trigger to bottom of rear grip.
- The sensitivity is akin to a GLoomis IMX of the same genre.
- This rod is about perfect for strolling/scoping 1/16 - 3/8 oz heads and baits in that 3-4" range and would also work exceptionally well for dropshot (of which I do not use either tech). Surprisingly, if you go braid with this blank you can power up to a heavier offering in the 5/8 total weight range pretty easily.
- Excels with neds, weightless finesse plastics, or finesse jigs in that 1/8 - 5/16 range, and also with smaller fluke style baits.
Here is a short review of this lineup, although the 702S Infinity here is factory built spinning: https://www.tackletour.com/reviewicast12lamiglas.html
I will try to get some pics uploaded later on today.
