Can I adjust "Fuel used" on a basic Merc Monitor?

    I have a 2006 2S 150 EFI 2.5L. 1B379725

Can I adjust "Fuel used" on a basic Merc Monitor?

    I can't find a book for this on-line. I have software Version 4.00.

After several tanks I have determined that I am using 25% more than the gauge is reporting.

I am using more fuel than merc monitor indicates you probably have a fuel system problem. Get it checked out, make sure there are no leaks anywhere, that pulse pump is good and air/fuel pressure are dead on and no leaks, internal or external, would be wise to also have injectors flow tested and validated
smartcraft is very accurate in calculating fuel used, it cannot compensate for pressures or leaks out of spec.

Your gauge is NOT a Mercmonitor. It is a Smartcraft SC1000 System Monitor.

I stand corrected. Can it be adjusted?

    No, see post#2
It is not monitor, it is the motor!

OK Leon. I'm not challenging what you wrote. I just want to be sure the previous owner didn't "adjust" it out of whack before I take it in to be worked on. Thanks

    +1.

Yours is indeed a System Monitor. As with all Smartcraft instruments, the displayed fuel consumption is provided by the PCM, taken from injector pulses and accurate to within 2% of actual. The only "adjustment" is zeroing out fuel used when refueling. If you're pumping more fuel than the monitor indicates was used, follow Leon's recommendation.

There is no "adjustment" for "Fuel Used". The data comes directly from the PCM's fuel delivery tables, so if you're using significantly more than shown, you have a leak, high pressure, a fuel delivery problem, or a significant mechanical problem.
