    Mega live 2 update

So there is a new update dated 13 May for ML2? Don’t see no info here on it but I did do the last update for my xplore and solix units. I am up in Canada fishing and don’t have my boat and limited internet

There are some significant Mega Live 2 enhancements with the latest 5.250 Apex/SolixG3/Xplore update and Mega Live 2 2.160 update. I'm not sure if the enhancements are from one or the other or both, but Landscape Mode, and specifically TargetBoost is like night and day difference, and it wasn't called out in the update notes.

I just tried to install the ML2 update and, unfortunately, I misread the instructions. After the software update installed I thought I was supposed to restart the display or the ML2 (on a later reading, it says do not do this … it says instead to wait up to 8 minutes until it disconnects and reconnects itself). I restarted the display after the software update screen disappeared. Now I’m not seeing the ML2 on my system. Has anyone else made this mistake? Did I brick the ML2? Ugh.

Update: I shut everything down a second time and disconnected power from the network. Restarted and … after a few minutes it showed up with v2.160 installed. Phew!

Wow, I'm sure a few choice words were spoken (or yelled). That was a close call. Glad it worked out for you.

They should really just make an “update mode” that you select that just configured all of the settings, power etc for a safe update.
