    250ss holeshot problems

So I made a thread last year about having issues on my suzuki 250ss holeshot. Boat is a Falcon F20 predator. I took my boat into my dealer this spring to have it checked out and turns out I had a fuel injector that went bad electronically. This was replaced and the remaining injectors were cleaned. I took the boat home and tested it, but my holeshot still just doesn't feel the same to me. It feels much slower that it did prior to having issues. I run two different solas scorpion props with the adjustable vent holes, a 26p and a 27p. Has anyone had a prop shop mill out the adjustable vent holes to fit a PVS system? I'd like to try and gain back what I lost, and maybe alittle more prop ventilation would do it.

How many RPM is the engine reving to when trying to take off you may be on to something with needing bigger vent hole but a lot of four strokes use very little venting but every engine has its own needs.

Yeah I think we would need the rpms to begin making guesses. Also how high are you running the motor on your jack plate? My 250SS runs and and gets on plane so much better the higher up it is.

RPM on take off slowly climb to 35-3800 before it finally breaks over and gets on plane. I have a hydraulic plate and even running it all the way up it still has a slow holeshot

There are different opinions on vent holes for 4 stroke outboards. I didn't really notice much of a difference adjusting how open they are on my Scorpion 26P.

When did you last have a tune up done on the motor? New spark plugs? Sounds like the dealer needs to check over it again if you aren't satisfied and the prop is still the same as before.

I have had the same issue. 27p scorpion. I talked to Mark Croxton, he said they should be able to drill new holes, but he's not 100% sure. I ended uo buying a 27p razor 4 xlr from him, and he drilled extra vent holes. I will update when I run it later this week.

I have a 27P Croxton Razor 4XL and it’s just as good if not better than the Scorpion IMO. The hole shot is definitely better and has better grip.
