    Latest Ultra Software Upgrade

Just got a notification on AC that there is an update from 28.00 to 29.00 for my Ultra units. I was really glad to see this as there doesn't seem to have been any for awhile and I was afraid of the rumors that Garmin was going to stop with the updates on these models.

I'm finishing the installation of a NMEA system for adding a 24XD and was curious as to whether the system will recognize the XD and automatically download software updates for it though the AC app. Not during the current update but later. Maybe a better question to ask would be, does the XD actually run or have software that needs to be updated?

The XD will be a source for two 106SV's and a 126SV. Thank you

Yes, the 24xd has its own software. Current version is 2.33 but it hasn't been updated since September 2022.

Thank you Todd. If there is a future update will it download through the AC app?

I just updated my 126sv Ultra Gen 1 to 29 this weekend. I was kinda hesistant due to issues reported with recent updates, but running v27 I did occasionally see less crisp images than I expected to, which I think was one of the issues v29 is supposed to correct. Will hopefully get on the water this week and try it out.

You'll be on the water with the update before I will. Would like to hear what you think of it

Yes - I’m in the same boat. I’ve avoided updating for a while now because of the update issues with image clarity on LiveScope. So any updates anyone can provide about how the update affected their LiveScope would be greatly appreciated!

Well I was on the water prop testing this morning and completely forgot to check - I never even dropped the TM tbh. But I'll check this weekend and report back if any issues with Ultra Gen 1.

Well, tbh I'm not sure. On v29, (vs v27, which is what I was running) the image seems to be clear/the same, ie not any worse. But, it did seem like I had more trouble tracking my bait than I did before the upgrade. Not sure if actually a thing, or if in my head I'm making it out to be more than it is.

Maybe I should drop back to v25 and compare. Can you "downgrade" software version via SD card same as you would upgrade?

Hey guys what is the latest software version for Garmin ultra units? I ended up doing an update last fall wondering if there's been anything new that I might need considering I'm just purchasing an LVS 34 live scope plus transducer-? or should last fall update be fine for where we're at now?

In link below you will find all echomap units......find your unit and pick on the link and it will give you a list of the updates....also as you scroll down the page, you will see the other product updates that you may have and can look at them to see what the changes were.

It's been a long time since my last update.
I downloaded the latest update "Fishin Couillon" posted.
Has anyone tried it yet and were you happy with the results??

    Thanks
