Boat Buckle mount on Backtrack square tube trailer ideas

Hello all. I finally bought the boat buckle straps to put on my trailer. Before my brain goes crazy with ideas to mount them on the square tube trailer, does anyone have any suggestions on how to mount them on my trailer? I have a 2020 X21 with the square tubing trailer.

There’s a member on here that makes a mount that works great on fastening to the rings on the back of the trailer.
I don’t have his info handy but I’ll send you his phone number via PM.

The set of retractable straps I bought came with a metal bracket that I bolted to the tube of the trailer. The bracket extended the ratchet far enough out that the strap doesn't rub on the boat. I ended up welding a small gusset brace on the bracket just to try out a welder I bought but it didn't really need it. I can take a pic this evening if you want to see it. Just DM me your number and I'll text it.

stratos284 is the member you want to talk to. I got a set from him and they work great, look factory, and can be removed if you ever trade in or something without leaving holes in the trailer. Great guy to work with.

I plan on using a 3x3x1\4" aluminum angle and bolt to the eyelet on the trailer. Probably do that this summer but have just never bought the straps. Already have the material and have pre fit it but the straps that came with the boat work fine.

this is how i did it! there's the mounting kit through boat buckle. went through the eye bolts on trailer. bought stainless steel 1/2 inch bolts. I did put on regular nuts inside but not that is doing anything. since I took the pic, I swapped out from 1.5 bolts to 2 inch bolts and locking nuts. I have 2 big washers on side that nut goes on

I just got done installing a set of boat buckles on my trailer. Bolted the adapter piece to the welded eye with the help of a second slightly bigger washer so the supplied washer wouldn't tulip its way through the rounded eye then smoked em down. The buckles SHOULD clear the bottom of the boat without having to turn them down before going in but will find out really fast next time out. I think they'll be OK though.

Is that small spot with someone already on it really worth finding out the hard way they don't like company? Keep it a mystery and go somewhere else.

He never responded to my PM. The buckle adapters are a lot heavier duty than I thought so they should be fine.
