    temp sensor wiring

2015 Mercury 225 Optimax Pros XS

    SN: 2B093135

My temperature sensor has come unplugged. The sensor has 3 wires, 1 female, and 2 male. The female I know where that plugs into, but not sure about the other 2, and they dont have any matching color combos on the wires they plug into.

Tried reading through older posts, found some info, but some variance based on colors, and # of wires. Hoping somebody can give me the correct answer based on SN.

    Thanks in advance.

Your motor has THREE temperature sensors. Which temp sensor are you working on? What color are all the wires?

temp sensor above the port fuel rail.

Wires coming off sensor are all tan, 2 with black stripe, and 1 with blue strip.
Wires on the other side, 1 tan, 1 brown, and one black with orange stripe.

    Pics attached.

    ^^^^^ +1

Only way you can mess up is to leave one unplugged, or change the connectors.

All set here, thanks everyone. Ive had these wires come unplugged before, but never all 3 at the same time. I noticed a missing zip tie right there, one that screws into the bracket on the rail, which I assume makes those wires susceptible to being interfered with when motor cover is coming on and off. Will get those secured better. Thanks again everyone.
